My Internet Went Out, So I Made This T-Shirt.
One day when my internet crashed, Google showed me a message that I’m sure you’re familiar with:
There is no Internet connection. Try checking the network cables, modem, and router.
At first I was annoyed. But then I remembered: having no Internet is an opportunity to be a productive, healthy human being. That’s when the idea came to me:
There is no Internet connection. Try interacting with humans, reading a book, going for a run.
Long story short, I put that idea on a shirt I’m donating a portion of the proceeds to the World Literacy Foundation, a global nonprofit that aims to lift kids out of poverty by teaching them to read.
This shirt has been worn by people from New York to LA, from 3rd graders to PhD students. No matter who they are, they share a common belief: the real world is better than a digital one.
You can grab a “No Connection” shirt here. Of course, feel free to share this with fellow book lovers and/or internet addicts.
